New Location at Salem Holiday Market!

Pauper’s Candle Company is going to be attending the Salem Holiday Market again this year.  We are excited to be there and this show is always a wonderful event full of great vendors who make their products themselves.  It is so nice to meet who created, designed, and made the product you are purchasing.  Cannot get more local than that!

We want to let everyone know that Pauper’s Candle Company is in a new location this year! We are in Booth J34 in the Jackman Long Building.  We are near the concessions against the wall and diagonally across the building from our former booth.  We hope to see all of our returning customers and meet many new ones as well. There are a few changes to note to all of you attending the show.  There is now free parking and there is admission for those under 12 years old.  I have attached a picture of a coupon you can copy and bring with you to receive $1.00 off admission and there are other discounts on the Salem Saturday Market website.

We look forward to seeing you there and may your Holidays this year be blessed!

Harvest Moon Bazaar – Blessed Time :)

We are on our way…..you have to love the traditional selfie

What a blessed, fun, and successful show we had.  My Support, husband, in all that I do had to stay at home and run a craft fair for his Economics Class that was on the same day as the Bazaar.  So, Kirt and I were on our own for this one.  We left as soon as Mark left for work and drove to Oregon to set up our show and run it that day for four hours.  My Mom and Dad came to help me set up and run the show.  The next two days were great.  Again my parents come to help me take down after the show.  Thank you Dad and Mom for all your support through the years.

There were so many wonderful opportunities to be able to talk, listen, and encourage individuals.  God is amazing.

Thank you to all who came by my booth and supported Pauper’s Candles.   We love making products you enjoy.  May you all have a great year and we will see you next Harvest Season at the Bazaar.

Wrapping up the Harvest & The Chickens are out!

Krista and Ms. Rhode Island Red. This is our first time having the Rhode Island Red Chickens and they are a great addition to our flock. These ladies are great egg layers.

I am just about done canning and storing our harvest for the season.  I pressure canned our carrots from our garden last week and thought, OK, I am done for a bit.  I am planning on making jam with our berries, raspberries, huckleberries, strawberries, and Saskatoon berries, during the winter months.  But for now, they are all bagged and sitting in our freezer safe and sound.

Here chick, chick, chick! I love it when they all come running. Side Note: I left my chard and spinach for the ladies to eat. The greens are good for them.

Well, while I was walking our dog with my son I ran into a neighbor and he offered some apples from his trees and some Huckleberries he picked this year.  I could not refuse the offer.  My husband once said, You cannot turn down free food.  So after my show next week I will be making one last batch of applesauce.  Praise the Lord!  He provides.

So, now that I have harvested my garden, I put the chicken run together that leads them into our garden.  Our chickens are now a bunch of happy ladies.  Our garden is located in the front of our house, and so whenever I am outside I get to see the ladies and hear them cackle all over the place. Since we have been living off grid on our property, we have had chickens and I just love having the ladies.  They do not require allot of care and you get a present from them each day.

My big helper at the 2015 Harvest Moon Bazaar!

The Harvest Moon Bazaar is one of my most favorite shows to do.  The show location is great, the vendors are of high quality, and the women hosting the show are wonderful.  If you enjoy  handmade and vintage products, you will love this bazaar.

We all hope to see you there!
