Failure to follow the safety tips could result in fire hazard or injury.
There is a warning label on all of Pauper's Candles
for convenience in following safety instructions.
Be sure to keep the wicks centered and trimmed to between
1/8 and 1/4 inch before each burn.
This assists in even burning and keeps the flame from becoming too large.
Keep the wax free from matches, wick trimmings,or any flammable materials
The containers can become hot and should be set on a trivet to protect your furniture and
should be placed on an even surface.
One should not relight their candle once the metal wick tabs are showing or there is about 1/2
inch of wax left in the jar.
Keep out of reach from children and pets, and away from flammable objects.
Keep away from drafts.
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
If the flame is too high, it is suggested to blow out the candle and trim the wick a little and then
relight the candle.
The first step before burning a Pauper's Candle is to remove the candle from its packaging.
Pauper's Candles burn best when the wax is allowed to pool completely across the jars, before
blowing them out. This takes 2-3 hours.
This allows the melt pool to be complete and then allows for an even burn down the candle jar
and prevents tunneling.
When the wicks are trimmed to about 1/4inch before each burn,
there is less soot residue on the candle jar.
If after burning our candle, there appears to be a "mushroom" effect on the wicks, we suggest
blowing the candle out and trimming the wick to about 1/4 inch and then one can relight the
candle immediately or wait.
The wicks may not need to be trimmed every time, but one should check.
Our Soy Candles that are packaged in a box burns between 25-30 hours
and our tealight candles burn between 5-6 hours each.
Happy and Safe Burning.
